I am a licensed therapist with a practice dedicated to women who struggle with stress and anxiety and I have offices in Mountlake Terrace and Seattle. I received my masters in counseling in 1999 and have worked with adults and children in a variety of treatment settings in community mental health, private practice, and in research and alternative education.
I enjoy working with clients to build healthy relationships, to better cope with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My early years in mental health were spent with children and families and this time led me to a deep appreciation for developmental attachment theories. Attachment, cognitive and existential theories all inform the work I do with clients. I like to weave together an insight- oriented approach along with practical tools for regulating mood and improving quality of life in the present moment.
